The field of Regenerative Medicine in Orthopedics has been advancing quickly over the past 20 years. This branch of medicine is focused on creating treatment options in attempt to regenerate diseased or defective musculoskeletal tissue to restore function, reduce pain and improve anatomical structures. The early research in this field looked at transplanting healthy cartilage to the sites of damage, which showed significant benefits, but often involved open surgery. Today, there are many in-office procedures and minimally invasive arthroscopic surgeries, where the patient can safely return home the same day.

Dr. Jack Jensen, who has a passion for healing and a love of sports that combined make him a sports advocate committed to student athletes in our community. Dr. Jensen founded Athletic Orthopedics Research Foundation (AORF) in 1988. A non-profit organization, AORF provides orthopedic research and funds to valuable initiatives that support the youth in our community. AORF encourages participation in sports, education to students about injury prevention and health topics along with delivering the best medical care to injured student athletes. These are a few of the many ways AORF benefits student athletes.
